KOOTENAY LITERARY COMPETITION

 

ORIGINS: WHO ARE WE? WHERE DID WE COME FROM?

That’s the theme of this year’s Literary Competition for Kootenay writers.

Nelson— October 7, 2017 — Today the Kootenay Writers Society announced the opening of the Kootenay Literary Competition 2018. Submissions will be accepted beginning October 1, 2017 with a final deadline of December 31, 2017.

Writers from the West and East Kootenay areas are welcome to submit in any of the following categories:

•  Youth – any genre (grade 9 – 12)
• Adult Poetry  
• Adult Fiction or Personal Non-fiction           
• Newcomers Category (new to Canada)         
• Indigenous Writers Category
